2021 CIAC Boys Tennis
Invitational Tournament

UPDATE Thursday,June 9, 9:00 pm.

Our first Boys Invitational Tournament concluded today with the singles and doubles finals.  As was true for the entire tournament, the competition was high level and characterized by excellent sportsmanship.  Many thanks to all the players, coaches, families and umpires that made this such a great event.  Thank you, Town of Middletown and Wesleyan University for hosting this event, and to Rocky Hill Tennis and Fitness Center/Newington Tennis Center for providing much needed back up, indoor courts for the inclement weather.  Here are the results:

Boys Invitational Championship Singles:

#4 Petro Kuzmenok, Fairfield Warde defeated #3 Prem Dave, Norwalk, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.

Boys Invitational Championship Doubles:

#1 Bradley Sheppard/Luke Brodsky, Staples defeated #2 Reilly Vejar/William deChabert, Daniel Hand, 7-5, 6-1.

Welcome to the Boys Tennis Invitational Tournament. This event will highlight top singles (24) and doubles teams (12) from around the state. Coaches nominated players and teams, then from that list, the Boys Tennis Committee selected the roster. Criteria included overall record, head to head competition, strength of schedule, league representation, size of school representation and seniority.
